COMBINED DISPLAY AT OFFICERS TRAINING ACADEMY ( OTA ), CHENNAI
On 29 Jul 2022, a day ahead of Passing Out Parade at OTA, Chennai, a Combined Display comprising of Equestr ian Show, Physical Training Skills, Military Band display and Kalaripayattu was organized.
Lieutenant General Sanjeev Chauhan, AVSM, YSM, Commandant, OTA, Chennai was the Chief Guest of the ev ent. The display commenced with the Equestrian Display through which horse riding skills and manoeuvres like tent pegging and show jumping were showcased. It was followed by well coordinated, Physical Training (PT) dis play which epitomized the high standards of physical training at the Academy.
The show also featured a scintilla ting performance by the Military Band. Finally, the event was set ablaze by Ka aripayattu – a martial art from the Kerala’s Malabar region. The performance had all the ingredients like dance, martial music and physical prowess rolled into one and garnered a thunderous applause from one and all. The event was concluded with the Chief G uest presenting mementos to the participants.
